    At the heart of all successful partnering are five fundamental truths. They are truths that are universal regardless of whether it's a partner relationship with other ISOs and VARs, or with the customers you serve.

     Honesty is at the forefront of all successful partnerships.

    This takes sincerity, frankness and an openness that demonstrates your desire to be fair in all you do to pursue equitable outcomes that benefit all.

     Empathy is an important characteristic.

    Essential in order to understand others' better; their viewpoints, their needs, their emotions and their feelings.

     Accountability is paramount.

    That means living up to your promises, being responsible and consistent, and never being too proud to admit when you are wrong.

     Respect is an absolute.

    Respect for your relationships, respect for another's time and respect for the fact that there is value in diversity of thinking.

     Trust is the foundation upon which all else rests.

    Without trust no goals can be accomplished nor can any real success ever be achieved.

    Whether formal or informal, partnering creates a bond that gives you a competitive edge unlike anything else. When you approach your partnerships with a true heart, you can't help but succeed.
