Mercury Payment Systems, an integrated transactions processing company, has appointed Roger Fox as Chief Financial Officer. Fox will design the financial framework to support Mercury’s unprecedented growth within the industry.
    Before Mercury, Fox worked for U S West as Executive Director of Capital Markets. During his tenure there, he secured over $18 billion in financing to support the company’s growth of regulated and unregulated businesses worldwide.  Beyond his corporate finance expertise, Fox has experience as a corporate controller and in small business tax and accounting.
    “Roger’s knowledge of the financial markets combined with both large and small company experience will enable him to provide very relevant leadership for Mercury,” said Jeffrey Katz, Mercury’s Chief Executive Officer.  “He is a valuable asset as we continue to grow and build our company.”
    While working at U S WEST, Fox guided the company through numerous capital market transactions, including two common stock offerings, and was involved in the IPO for its cellular company, New Vector.

    Fox holds an MBA in finance from the University of Colorado. He is also a certified public accountant in Colorado.
